Premiere of the ALL-NEW BMW X2 at The BMW Store
The all-new second-generation BMW X2 was premiered exclusively at The BMW Store in Galerija Beograd, where this model will be exclusively showcased until December 5th. The new BMW X2, now available for the first time in an electric version, is characterized by attractive sporty design and innovative digital options that position it in an even higher class in terms of performance and design.
The new BMW X2 features an expressive design and is 194 millimeters longer, 21 millimeters wider, and 64 millimeters taller compared to the previous generation. Additionally, the wheelbase has been increased, providing more space for all five seats and in the trunk (ranging from 560 to 1,470 liters, depending on the model variant).
The front of the new BMW X2 exudes confidence, complemented by striking elements such as LED headlights and the hexagonal BMW front grille, which, for the first time in the premium compact segment, can optionally be ordered with BMW Iconic Glow lighting. The roofline creates an attractive silhouette in the recognizable style of BMW’s SAC models, giving a sporty impression, enriched by a spoiler and an attractive bumper.
On the other hand, M-specific design features, such as two pairs of integrated exhaust pipes in the rear apron, provide the BMW X2 M35i xDrive with a particularly dynamic aura. The M Sport package is available for all other model variants, including the new fully electric BMW iX2, providing aerodynamically optimized exterior details.
The interior of the new BMW X2 boasts a modern and premium ambiance with sporty details. The elegant dashboard, featuring the BMW curved screen, is connected in the cabin with a “floating” armrest and an integrated control island. New seats are optionally offered in Veganza perforated coverings and Vernasca leather with attractive stitching as an alternative to standard fabric upholstery. Sports seats are available as an option, with the possibility of electric adjustment with memory function, lumbar support, and massage function.
Dual-zone automatic climate control, a navigation system, and a sports leather steering wheel are standard in the new BMW X2, as well as automatic trunk opening, four USB-C ports, and a 12V socket on the central console and in the trunk. The number of available driver assistance systems and digital services has significantly increased compared to the previous model. Among the available options to enhance its premium character are the mirror package, heated steering wheel, and Harman Kardon sound system, with one of the most attractive options being the panoramic glass roof.
The fully electric variant BMW iX2 xDrive30 will be available from launch. Its two extremely integrated drive units – one on the front axle and one on the rear – together create a system power of 230 kW/313 hp and a system torque of 494 Nm.
The iX2 xDrive30 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and achieves a maximum speed of 180 km/h. The high-voltage battery with a usable energy capacity of 64.8 kWh, combined with the high efficiency of the drive system, enables a range of 417 to 449 kilometers according to the WLTP standard. Adaptive recuperation and the MAX RANGE function also contribute to outstanding figures in terms of range. The new BMW iX2 supports the Plug & Charge function.
The BMW X2 M35i xDrive, with its distinctive M design and handling characteristics, features a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing a maximum power of 221 kW/300 hp and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds. Efficient petrol and diesel engines and a seven-speed Steptronic dual-clutch transmission come as standard. The three-cylinder petrol engine from the latest modular generation of the engine family powers the new BMW X2 sDrive20i. In combination with a 48V mild hybrid system, the 1.5-liter engine delivers a maximum power of 125 kW/170 hp.
The four-cylinder diesel engine in the new BMW X2 sDrive18d has also undergone extensive upgrades and produces a maximum power of 110 kW/150 hp. All internal combustion engines available for the new BMW X2 are standardly connected to a seven-speed Steptronic dual-clutch transmission. The new BMW iX2 xDrive30 comes standard with 17-inch wheels with aerodynamically optimized design, while the BMW X2 sDrive20i and BMW X2 sDrive18d models have 18-inch wheels. The BMW X2 M35i xDrive has 20-inch M wheels, with wheels ranging from 18 to 21 inches available as an option.
The latest version of BMW’s iDrive system with a user interface 9.0 featuring the QuickSelect function for quick access is integrated into the new BMW X2. Based on BMW’s Operating System 9, it is combined with BMW’s curved screen and BMW’s intelligent personal assistant.
Standard and optional assistance systems for automated driving and parking enhance comfort and safety, both in everyday driving and on longer journeys. Standard features include the latest version of the forward collision warning system, cruise control with braking function, speed limit information, and lane departure warning with lane-keeping function. Parking assistance, including a reversing camera and reverse driving assistant, is also part of the standard equipment.
