Unveiling the all-new MINI Countryman

FOR THE FIRST TIME, IN AN ELECTRIC VERSION.

The all-new third-generation MINI Countryman, in its freshest edition, brings a range of innovations, a higher level of comfort, and unique forms of entertainment. For the first time, this MINI model is also available in electric versions, reflecting MINI’s intention to become an all-electric brand by 2030.

The fully electric MINI Countryman is available in two versions. The MINI Countryman E with a power of 150 kW/204 hp and a torque of 250 Nm offers a range of 462 km (WLTP standard). This version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 170 km/h.

Also available is the fully electric MINI Countryman SE ALL4 with 230 kW/313 hp and 494 Nm and a range of 433 km (WLTP standard). It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, with a maximum speed of 180 km/h.

The new MINI Countryman is also offered with innovative and efficient petrol engines. These include the MINI Countryman C with front-wheel drive, as well as the MINI Countryman S ALL4 with all-wheel drive. There is also the MINI Countryman JCW ALL4 – a high-powered model with all-wheel drive. The new MINI Countryman will also be available in a diesel variant.

The design of the new generation MINI models is modern and digital, combining authenticity with progressive technology.

The largest MINI model in the family comes in even larger dimensions compared to its predecessor – length: 4,433 mm, width: 1,843 mm, and height: 1,656 mm, making its appearance particularly impressive. Thanks to the increased wheelbase, now at 2,692 mm, comfort has been further enhanced.

Standard wheels are 18 inches in diameter, with optional 19 and 20-inch rims available, emphasizing the typical MINI go-kart feeling.

The front of the fully electric MINI Countryman is defined by an expressive contour of the new hexagonal front grille. The entire exterior exudes a modern, minimalist design characterized by clear and expressive lines.

Drivers and passengers can now enjoy significantly improved comfort with almost three centimeters of additional width in the shoulder and elbow area. The width of the rear seats has also increased by 2.5 centimeters. The optional panoramic glass roof makes the interior particularly bright and pleasant, with the front half being able to be opened.

The interior of the new MINI Countryman brings the highest level of entertainment and comfort to date. The instrument panel operates entirely without an additional display behind the steering wheel, with all relevant content projected onto the optional head-up display.

The central OLED screen sets a new standard with its high resolution and, for the first time, its round shape. Thanks to MINI Operating System 9, all vehicle functions can be controlled intuitively via touch or voice. MINI Operating System 9, internally developed by the BMW Group, is based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) software package.

The graphical display of content is modern with a pronounced focus on important options. The upper part shows relevant vehicle information such as speed and battery status, while the lower part includes menu items: navigation, media, phone, and climate that can be directly selected at any time.

All other functions can be accessed through menus in the same way as on a smartphone. In the new MINI Countryman, numerous functions can be controlled using the voice-activated personal assistant.

For the first time, the MINI Countryman offers semi-automatic driving at speeds up to 60 km/h. Up to this speed, the driver can remove hands from the steering wheel, provided they continue to carefully monitor traffic. The driver must be ready to actively steer and brake at all times. This function builds on other driver assistance systems, taking over both longitudinal and lateral guidance within the current lane.

Additionally, the fully electric MINI Countryman provides the ability to calculate the most efficient route with optimized charging after entering the destination, including enhanced recuperation management, thereby increasing the vehicle’s range.

As standard, the new Trailer Assistant assists with trailer parking and offers steering angle assistance when reversing. In addition to automatic parking functions and a 360-degree parking view, the new MINI Countryman more clearly identifies potential parking spaces thanks to 12 ultrasonic sensors and four Surround View cameras.

As part of the optional Parking Assistant Professional system, the vehicle can be maneuvered out of parking spaces via smartphone using the new remote parking function. If there is not enough space on the sides of the vehicle, the MINI Countryman uses this function to exit the parking space on its own, making it easier for the driver to enter the car.

In combination with the optionally available MINI Connected package, the MINI Connected Store provides access to practical and entertaining applications, including games, music, and video streaming. The new AirConsole application provides a unique gaming experience for all passengers who control content on the OLED screen through their smartphones.
